HostsLouis and James
In this extra-special (and extra-long episode) of Boldly Going Somewhere, we discuss three of the best movies we’ve seen so far this summer. Hear us rave over a trio of really fun and highly intelligent films that fill us with hope amidst the recent never-ending torrent of visually nauseating and emotional unrewarding Hollywood drivel.
To make it easy for you in case you haven’t seen one (or more) of these films, we’ve broken up this episode into three separate segments that you can jump to at your leisure. The time codes are mentioned at the start of the episode, and below.
Come back and listen again once you’ve watched one you missed!
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: Start at 9 min, 18 sec
X-Men: Days of Future Past: Starts at 40 min, 26 sec
Edge of Tomorrow: Starts at 1 hour, 11 min, 11 sec
Unfortunately, we’re plauged with some audio issues again. A bad audio cable resulted in some popping noises even if it was slightly touched. We apologize for this in advance, and while it only happens a few times in the episode it’s noticeable.
At the 1 hour, 16 minute mark there’s some popping noises again which remain for the remainder of the episode. Apparently this still isn’t fixed. Hopefully it’s not too annoying, and I’m going to try my best to have it corrected next time.
