There’s a problem that exists in the Marvel and DC universes which just freaks me the hell out. Beyond the monsters, both scientific and fantastical, there are beings whose existence in those worlds is just “wrong.”

Say what you will about the Abrams films. For all of the liberties (good and bad) they took with rebooting the series, they did do this one thing right.
So there’s an element of the original Star Wars trilogy that has stuck out in my mind before, and I figure I’d finally try diving deep into the subject. It all revolves around the line: “I have altered the deal. Pray I do not alter it further.”
In the last few days, it was announced that Gal Gadot has been cast to play Wonder Woman in the upcoming Superman/Batman film. For the first time since she first appeared in comics, Wonder Woman will be on the big screen.
The moment that I realized the extent of DC Comics no longer understanding how to depict Superman was not in a movie theater. Nor was it reading a comic. It was in a Michael’s Arts & Crafts store looking for a poster frame.
